Stuff n junk... n stuff.

Bad stuff:

Been up since 3:00 a.m. when I gave in to the battle. I was hot, restless, tossing & turning.
Went to bed kinda grouchy.
Woke up that way.
Felt out of it most of the weekend, walking around yesterday was a bad idea as the heat made it worse, so I decided to hide out in a cool movie theater downtown and check out something before I fell over.

The movie of choice turned out to be Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which was fun. So now we're into 'good stuff'. I loved the Oompa Loompas and their little dance numbers.

Other good stuff:
Along with waking up grouchy, I also woke up with Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang running over and over in my head even though I hardly know the song. So a quick download later (since I was up anyway) and I can run it through my head like a freight train. It's a cool song actually.

I've got my ticket for The Seattle Tattoo Convention the weekend after next. This'll be my first and while I don't really know what to expect I'm hoping for something fun and maybe informational.

So at least I have a little something to look forward to.

It seems like I had more I was going to go on about... I suppose it's a precursor to how my day is probably going to turn out having had only a few hours of restless sleep. Joy.

Come to think of it though, today is kind of a busy day within my monkeysphere:
I'm hoping [info]dodgingwndshlds is doing OK on his drive up to Portland.
I wish [info]mt_yvr a happy birthday after a hopefully good Pride. If I was in Vancouver I'd take you up on your non-invitation and join you for a birthday dinner. By the way, I agree with you in that I think you've just had the wrong group of people you were trying to celebrate with if they could never be bothered...
And last but certainly not least I hope that [info]qnetter and [info]hossinseattle (on their separate journeys) are on their ways home with big goofy grins on their faces as they recount their hopefully excellent times at Dore this year. *If* of course they're still conscious. :-)

Slow, deep breath and...
carpe diem damn it!

It was a lovely night of people stopping by and spending time chatting. Overall just G and W (leatherlion and airporter here on lj, respectively) waiting for me with my husband, then two women from work I adore. But to be honest... I enjoyed every second of it.

And the effects from a rather fun night last night are still around. NOT to mention a wicked b-day visit with John (see latest entry for why I say that).

But I'd have invited you for the non-invitation moment. (lol) Or something like that.
